“…Electroacupuncture (EA) stimulation is employed as an effective and safe therapy to treat multiple diseases including inflammation (Liu et al, 2021; Liu et al, 2020), Parkinson’s disease (Tamtaji et al, 2019), insomnia (Ruan et al, 2009; Yin et al, 2017; Yin et al, 2020), anxiety (Shen et al, 2020) and depression (Jiang et al, 2021; Xu et al, 2020b; Yao et al, 2021). The EA at selective acupoints Dazhui (DU14) and Baihui (DU20) was shown to restore inhibitory/excitatory balance and improve cognition in mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease (Li et al, 2023).
