Electrochemical Behavior of Bismuth Ions in Ethylene Glycol

Abstract: The present work is devoted to the electrochemical reduction of bismuth ions from non-aqueous electrolytes using ethylene glycol as an example. By taking cyclic and linear polarization curves on a platinum electrode, the kinetics, the mechanism of the process, and it was found that the process of electroreduction proceeds in a one-stage process in the potential range 0.45-(-2.0) V.
