Electrochemical Behaviors and Sensitive Determination of Guanosine-5’-monophosphate on Ionic Liquid Modified Carbon Paste Electrode

et al.

Abstract: Abstract.A new electrochemical sensor was fabricated by using ionic liquid (IL) 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (OMIMPF 6 ) modified carbon paste electrode (denoted as IL-CPE). The electrode was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Due to the presence of high conductive IL in the carbon paste electrode, IL-CPE exhibited excellent electrocatalytic ability to the oxidation of guanosine-5'-monophosphate (GMP) with the increas… Show more

“…19 Our group had applied IL-CPE for the sensitive electrochemical detection of different kinds of electroactive substances. [20][21][22] The presence of IL in CPE exhibits excellent electrocatalytic activity with a layer of IL present on the electrode surface, which can accumulate and promote the electrochemical response of the analytical targets. Liu et al applied an IL-CPE for the electrochemical dctection of lead(II) with satisfactory results.…”
