Copper doped zinc oxide nanocomposites exhibits numerous applications in electronics, ecology, medicines, nanotechnologies, water applications, purification techniques, thin film sheets, solar equipment's, agricultural industries as probes and drugs. Copper embedded nano materials effectively elevate growth of microbes relating to fungus and bacteria treating as bactericidal and bacteriostatic. Cu@ZnO nano composite due to its efficient band gap records as excellent photocatalyst and semiconducting material in dye degradation and electronic equipment's. This review explains synthesis of copper doped zinc oxide nanoforms through various methodology and characteristic features of developed nano composites. Synthesis methods involve coprecipitation, microwave irritation, sol-gel, spray hydrolysis, wet chemical process, hydrothermal, nano emulsion, combustion method and chemical co-precipitation method. Characterization techniques studied as, X-ray diffraction, Ultra violet visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.
