Electrochemical generation of a catalyst for Michael addition of dicarbonyl compounds and cyanide anion to acryloylferrocene

Abstract: Michael addition of diethyl malonate, ethyl acetoacetate, acetylacetone, and cyanide anion to acryloylferrocene promoted by a catalyst in situ generated from a sacrificial zirconium anode is described.
