“…The spectra are analogous to those published earlier for Fe-Cr alloys at 200°C [36] and for polythiophene derivatives in the reduced state [23]. Spectra of a broadly analogous shape have been measured for other electroactive polymers in that configuration [24,25] and also for free-standing oxide films (symmetrical configuration electrolyte/film/ electrolyte [15]). Qualitatively similar spectra were obtained for the Mo-containing alloys and comparisons of spectra at 200 and 300°C, )0.18 V are presented in Figs.…”

“…An alternative that has been developed extensively in the laboratory directed by M. Keddam was to introduce impedance measurements in different configurations in order to unravel the respective contributions of the bulk transport and interfacial transfer processes in the overall impedance response of electroactive polymer films [13,14] and oxide films [15]. Using a combination between an asymmetrical (metal/film/electrolyte, containing or not containing an electroactive species) and symmetrical (electrolyte/film/electrolyte, free-standing membrane) measurement configurations in otherwise identical conditions led to a significant decrease of the number of fitting parameters needed to reproduce an individual impedance spectrum.…”

“…An alternative that has been extensively developed is introducing impedance measurements in different configurations to determine the respective contributions of the bulk transport and interfacial transfer processes in the overall impedance response of thin films [23][24][25]. This approach was extended for supercritical temperatures in the present NERI project [3,4].…”

“…Thus, an increase in the statistical significance of parameter values extracted from impedance measurements was achieved [23][24][25].…”
