Electrodeposited Ni/TiN-SiC Nanocomposites on the Dumbbell: Reducing Sport Injuries

Abstract: Sports are becoming an important part of everyday life. In this study, an excellent Ni-SiC nanocomposite was prepared on the dumbbell surface using the pulse electrodeposition (PE) method to improve the durability of sports equipment and prevent sports injuries. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), abrasion testing, triboindentry, and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were used to evaluate the impact of plating conditions upon the microhardness, microstructure, morphology, and wear… Show more

“…In sportswear, nonmetal/metal doped hexagonally Ag/ZnO nanocomposites are used as nanofinishing on woolen fabric to impart anti-bacterial, resistant to acid and photocatalytic properties [57]. Deposition of TiO2/Fe3O4/Ag nanocomposites on a sonochemical process on polyester sports fabric surfaces was particularly successful in imparting anti-bacterial, photoactive, and high tensile strength to polyester fabrics [61]. Using pulse electrodeposition Ni/TiN-SiC nanocomposite was deposited on the dumbbell surface to increase sports equipment's durability and wear resistance and prevent sports injuries [58].…”
