Electrodeposition and Characterization of ZnO Rods Films

Abstract: We discuss the electrosynthesis and characterization of vertically aligned ZnO nanorods films on different substrates using the electrodeposition technique. SEM and EDX analysis showed CQAu and ITO substrates were the most efficient in obtaining ZnO rods. Optical microscopy images showed a film thickness of 2.22 µm. The characterization by X-ray diffraction showed characteristic peaks of ZnO in wurtzite crystalline form. DRS afforded the energy bandgap of 3.43 eV.
