Abstract:Zinc-manganese alloys containing up to 40 at. % Mn were successfuly electrodeposited from a solution made of Zn and Mn chlorides, and boric acid. Cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry were used to clarify the influence of Mn salt concentration in the solution and deposition current density, on the kinetics of Zn-Mn electroreduction.
