Abstract:Piezoelectric composites have been increasingly used in engineering structures due to their excellent flexibility, durability and robustness to damage. In this paper, the electroelastic behaviors of the fiber reinforced piezoelectric composite (FRPC) beam are analyzed by the finite element method. The stress, vertical displacement and electric potential of the FRPC beam subjected to a uniform load are studied.
