Electromagnetic Casimir effect in a Lorentz symmetry violation model

Abstract: In this paper, we study the electromagnetic Casimir effects in the context of Lorentz symmetry violations. Two distinct approaches are considered: the first one is based on Horava-Lifshitz methodology, which explicitly presents a space-time anisotropy, while the second is a model that includes higherderivatives in the field strength tensor and a preferential direction in the space-time.
