i'he latest results on studying EBCD lasers on C02, CO, N20 molecular gases carried out at the Gas Lasers Lab. of Lebedev Institute are reported. EI3CD CO2 isotope lasers, cryogenic and supersonic cooled, pulsed and pulse repetition CO lasers arid amplifiers, high efficiency N20 lasers have been investigated. High power N20 laser has been created with the energy, specific output and efficiency of 106 3, 36 J/i'Amagat, lOX, respectively. pulsed and pulse-repetition EBCD CO lasers, "master oscillator-amplifier" CO laser systems. High values of energy and efficiency oi lasing were achieved in pulsed EBCD N2O lasers. 2. The investigations of high-power N20 lasers which stimulated the creation of a pulsed N20 laser with energy '' 450 J 15 are making, in fact, only the first steps. The pulsed N20 lasers may find application for laser pumping of the far JR lasers, and be the alternative to CO2 lasers in solving the problems connected with radiation transport through the atmosphere. 6.
