Abstract:The theory and method of suppressing electron emission from cathode surfaces is introduced, including increasing the emission threshold, reducing the surface electric field and shielding the emitted electrons. The stainless steelgraphite and Teflon-graphite composite cathodes are designed to test the above methods for a rod-pinch diode. The experiments are performed on the inductive voltage adder, and the results indicate that the Teflon-graphite composite cathode is effective in suppressing electron emission … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
