Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Studies of Cu2+ Impurities in Ferroelectric LiH3(SeO3)2

Abstract: The electron paramagnetic resonance spectra of Cua+ doped in Lis(SeO,), single crystals are studied. The ions reside in different chemically distinct sites. For two of them, the strongest in the EPR spectra, the g and A matrices and the & tensor are determined. Within the limit of experimental errors, the EPR spectra of one site exhibits a n orthorhombic symmetry with a pronounced axial character, while the other site exhibits a monoclinic symmetry.
