Abstract:Transient photoconductivity measurements have been made on KBr crystals containing F centers as a function of electric and magnetic field at low temperature. The wavelength dependence of the observed photocurrent is discussed in terms of the known properties of F centers. Transverse-magnetoconductivity results were obtained which indicate that the conduction band of KBr is isotropic. Hot-electron effects were also observed at low temperature and were compared with an approximate theory involving a mixture of s… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
