Electroneuromyographic studies of pain sensitivity

Abstract: We analyze the published information on the techniques of studies of pain sensitivity using objective electroneuromyographic approaches and the results of these studies. In particular, we describe works where the H reflex, nociceptive flexor and blinking reflexes, and exteroceptive suppression of voluntary muscle activity were examined. Some aspects of using somatosensory evoked potentials in the studies of pain phenomena are also discussed.
