Electrospun polyporous VN nanofibers for symmetric all-solid-state supercapacitors

Abstract: To promote the energy density of symmetric all-solid-state supercapacitors (SCs), efforts have been dedicated to searching for high-performance electrode materials recently. In this paper, vanadium nitride (VN) nanofibers with mesoporous structure have been fabricated by a facile electrospinning method. Their crystal structures and morphology features were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. The mesoporous structure of VN nanofibers, which can… Show more

“…The high-resolution of V 2p spectra (Fig. 2(e)) split into two peaks located at 517.4 eV (V 2p3/2) and 523.9 eV (V 2p1/2), which can be attributed to the trivalent V in the NMVP/C [28,29]. In the case of C (Fig.…”

“…Thus, it is urgent to develop a sustainable and renewable energy storage equipment to effectively store and utilize these energy resources. Among all the energy storage devices, supercapacitors have the potential to be the most promising electrochemical cells in the coming future owing to the superior advantages such as high power density, favorable cyclic performance, rapid charge rates, and safe operation [4][5][6].…”

“…Generally, to enhance the storage performance of VN, strategies such as nanostructuring [ 18 , 19 , 20 , 21 ] and hybridization [ 22 , 23 , 24 ] have been employed. The hybridization approach involves carbon-based hybrids [ 21 , 25 , 26 ] and carbon-free hybrids [ 27 , 28 ].…”
