Abstract:The main feature of elliptical space—the topological identification of its antipodal points—could be fundamental for understanding the nature of the cosmological redshift. The physical interpretation of the mathematical (topological) structure of elliptical space is made by using physical connections in the form of Einstein-Rosen bridges (also called “wormholes”). The Schwarzschild metric of these structures embedded into a dynamic (expanding) spacetime corresponds to McVittie’s solution of Einstein’s field eq… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
