Abstract:Summary
Embryo survival following non‐surgical embryo recovery was studied in 66 superovulated dairy heifers. Blood samples were collected at uterine flushing (6.5 days after a single AI), 72 h after flushing and then every 7 days until estrus or until pregnancy diagnosis by palpation per rectum. Luteolytic effect by uterine flushing was detected in three heifers 72 h following flushing (progesterone values < 1 ng/ml plasma).
