Emergence of exchange bias field in FeS superconductor with cobalt-doping

Abstract: Among all the iron-based superconductors, the 11 series has the simplest layered structure but exhibits rich physical phenomenon. In this work, we have synthesized Fe 1−x Co x S single crystals with tetragonal structure and studied their structure and magnetic properties. Magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate that the cobalt doping would suppress superconductivity and even introduce weak ferromagnetism besides antiferromagnetism. Scanning electron microscopy study reveals that the Co-doped samples exhi… Show more

“…In addition, cobalt has been widely used as a dopant to regulate the superconducting parameters or magnetic properties in iron-based superconductors (e.g. LaFe 1−x Co x AsO, SmFe 1−x Co x AsO, CeFe 1−x Co x AsO, and Fe 1−x Co x O) and cuprate superconductors (YBa 2 Cu 3−x Co x O 7±δ ) [31][32][33][34]. Furthermore, it is still necessary to systematically study the correlation between the valence electron count (VEC) and T c in the V 3 Si system, especially in the region e/a > 4.7.…”
