“…Of two, 154 kb plasmids were found in transconjugant after conjugation and the plasmid harbouring the blaNDM-1 and blaVIM-1 belonged to the IncW type, which was different from previously replicon type reported in India. Recent studies from Greece demonstrated the coproduction of NDM-1 and VIM-1 in a K. pneumoniae [17]. While in our study, we found co-expression of blaNDM-1 with blaVIM-1 producing M. wisconsensis from neonate admitted in NICU of the north Indian hospital.…”

“…The emergence of NDM-producing strains was reported in 2011 in the University Hospital of Ioannina (Epirus, Central Greece) [3]. Since then, sporadic cases have been observed in hospitals in Athens (Attica), Patras (Peloponnese, western Greece) and Larissa (Thessaly, central Greece), all belonging to multilocus sequence type (ST) 11 type [4][5][6]. The first OXA-48-like carbapenemase outbreak was detected in 2012 [7] and apart from single cases [8,9], no major epidemics have been recorded in Greece.…”

“…3,4,14 However, very little information is available about CP C. freundii. 5,7,8 In addition, while some studies have described the co-production of two carbapenemases such as NDM-1 plus VIM-1 in C. freundii, K. pneumoniae and E. cloacae 17,18 or KPC-2 plus VIM-2 in K. pneumoniae, 19 very few studies have reported the co-production of VIM-1 plus OXA-48 17,20 and none of them in C. freundii. We detected a moderate increase in CP Citrobacter spp.…”
