Abstract:Poisoning is one of the reasons for which Emergency Medical Teams are called. They range from mild and asymptomatic incidents to those complicated by shock and Sudden Cardiac Arrest. The causes of poisoning may be related to accidental contact with a potentially poisonous substance, but also to deliberate use or exposure to poison for suicidal purposes.
