Emergency peripartum hysterectomy in a tertiary hospital in southern Nigeria

Abstract: IntroductionEmergency peripartum hysterectomy, a maker of severe maternal morbidity and near miss mortality is an inevitable surgical intervention to save a woman's life when uncontrollable obstetric haemorrhage complicates delivery.
