Cloud Computing is the most adoptable technology in use recently where bigger and complex applications are deployed and used on cloud server. Multi scaled applications are such applications which have multiple attributes (data size, number of requests, number of concurrent users etc.) that can cause to poor performance of its application service. For better performance, it needs to be measured, analyzed and optimized using tools, strategies or algorithms. The multi scale application’s performance is measured at end user level, network level and data center level. In this paper, the focus is measuring the performance of multi scale applications in terms of response time and throughput using CloudAnalyst simulator. Multiple scenarioslike varying data size,varying number of concurrent users and varying number of requests are simulated for multiscale application and tested.The results obtained shown that response time and throughput of application gets reflected mostly by Data Size, number of requests per user and number of concurrent users. It is also observed that the most significant factor is data size along with huge volume of concurrent users, impacts the response time of multi scale application.Hench this research recommends that multi scale data I.e. data type and data size plays vital role in cloud based multi scale application’s performance measurement.

Cloud computing presents an architecture that delivers computing services via the internet on demand and payed per use of a pool of resources that are shared, such as networks, storage, servers, services and applications, without having to acquire them. Cloud computing reduces managing cost and time for organizations. Many industries, such as banking, healthcare and education are shifting to the cloud, due to the effectiveness of services delivered by the pay-per-use concept depending on the resources, such as processing power utilized, transactions performed, bandwidth consumed, data transmitted, or storage space occupied etc. Cloud computing is considered as a technology that relies completely on the internet, where client data is saved and kept in the data center of a cloud supplier. The goal of this paper is to implement and evaluate different allocation, scheduling and ranking techniques, where, different methods for the allocation, scheduling and ranking of workflow tasks are proposed, implemented and evaluated. Simulation was performed on these techniques, and the results were analyzed to find the best technique in terms of efficiency and performance in reducing completion time and cost.

Cloud computing brings for higher educational institution a wide range of benefits with new capabilities to incorporate in the educational process. However, the cloud services are vulnerable to a variety of security challenges.One of the key challenges that educational institutions face in adopting cloud computing technologies is a provisioning of a secure cloud infrastructure.In this paper, the authors discover some cloud benefits in the education sector and discuss limitations of main cloud services as well as highlight security challenges that institutions face when utilizing cloud technologies.The survey was conducted in variety educational institutions to study the views of stakeholders on the cloud security vulnerabilities and approaches used to overcome.Finally, this paper provides baseline recommendations to avoid security risks efficiently when adopting cloud computing in institutions of higher education.
