Emerging trends in regional science

Abstract: Regional science has been evolving as a discipline since the 1950s. Whereas it has a distinctive focus and personality, it has not evolved in isolation. We recognize the early influences of economics and geography and other social and natural sciences. But we also recognize emerging trends that regional science can benefit from as it matures.
