Abstract:In this investigation, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are leveraged to engineer a simple segmentation and recognition algorithm specialized for the delineation of complex, network‐like morphologies—often termed “vein‐like structures (VLSs)”—in scanning electron microscopy (SEM) imagery.
