Abstract: This study explores the persisting gender equity challenges in Tanzania, despite the country's 62 years of independence. The underrepresentation of women in senior positions within media organisations, exemplified by the 2016 report by The Union of Tanzania Press Club (UTPC), serves as a focal point.
