Abstract: Pediatric overweight and obesity is a complex chronic medical condition with a multitude of contributing factors. Rates are now nearly double what they were before the COVID-19 pandemic and if the current trajectory holds it is anticipated that by 2050 one in every two US children will experience obesity before the age of thirty-five.
