EMR-Children at Adult Age: Academic Achievement and Mental Ability

Abstract: One of the purposes of special schools for EMR children is to furnish mentally retarded children with the necessary academic skills for coping with some of the problems which life presents in a modem industrial society. The author concludes, however, that such training is of limited value and that other types of training are needed.
