Enacting Culturally Relevant Pedagogy when “Mathematics Has No Color”: Epistemological Contradictions

Abstract: Culturally relevant pedagogy (CRP) seeks to improve equity in instruction and leverage students’ experiences by promoting academic success, cultural competence, and sociopolitical consciousness.
