This paper examines pro-European mobilisation in the UK following the EU referendum. It develops a framework that combines Isin's 'acts of citizenship' with Nancy Fraser's three dimensions of justiceredistribution, recognition and representationto examine the way in which Brexit has served as a mobilisation trigger for claims about European citizenship. Drawing on data from a survey of participants of an anti-Brexit march in London, it argues that Brexit can be seen as a process that makes people aware of the 'right to have rights' as EU citizens. While some protesters experience Brexit as a struggle over the substance of justice within the UK, many of the '48%' experience Brexit as a serious injustice that results from what Fraser calls 'misframing' in the context of struggles over the boundaries of the political community. In this sense, economic, cultural as well as political forms of injustice amount to a sense of personal grief over being 'misframed' in a UK outside the EU.

This article discusses the position and agency of Romani migrants. It argues that different states often irregularize the status of Romani migrants even in cases where it should be regularized due to their de jure citizenship. This irregularization is possible because of their position as semi-citizens in their ‘states of origin’. Yet, Romani migrants are not mere passive observers of these practices, but react to their irregularized migrant statuses. In doing so, they redefine their national and European citizenships. This article centres around two case studies to analyse the position and agency of Romani migrants The first is Roma with European Union (EU) citizenship and the second is post-Yugoslav Roma without EU citizenship.

Bu makale, AB-Türkiye ilişkileri bünyesinde, Türkiye devlet ve vatandaşlarının pratiklerinin Avrupa kimliğinin ve vatandaşlığının içeriğini ve sınırlarını nasıl şekillendirdiğini ortaya koymaktadır. AB-Türkiye ilişkileri üzerine olan literatür ağırlıklı olarak Türkiye'yi değişimin alıcı tarafında görerek, AB kaynaklı etkiler sonucunda Türk siyasetinin, toplumunun, ekonomisinin ve hukukunun dönüşüp dönüşmediğini incelemiştir. Pratik kuramı ve post-kolonyal yaklaşımlardan beslenen bu makale ise, Türkiye ile ilişkisinin Avrupa'yı iki temel açıdan etkilediğini savunmaktadır. İlk olarak Türkiye devletinin AB'ye üyelik yönündeki ısrarlı talepleri Avrupa kimliğinin ihtiva ettiği evrensellik ve tikelcilik arasındaki gerilimi su yüzüne çıkarmış ve çok-kültürlülük ve kendine özgülük iddialarına meydan okumuştur. İkinci olarak, Türk vatandaşları Avrupa devletlerine ve Avrupa Birliği'ne yönelik hak talepleri, kimlik söylemleri ve siyasi eylemleri yoluyla Avrupa vatandaşlığının dışlayıcılığına meydan okuyup, iç/dış ayrımlarının daha geçirgen olduğu daha kapsayıcı bir Avrupa'nın inşasına katkıda bulunmaktadırlar.
