“…Regarding treatment for ciliary body detachment, there were reports of (1) cycloplegic drops, (2) steroid medication, (3) laser treatment, (4) encircling scleral buckling, (5) intra-vitreous gas injection, (6) trans-scleral cryopexy and (7) silicon oil tamponade. 3,[14][15][16][17] In our case, hypotony did not respond to medical therapy with steroid medications. Kokame et al reported that when ciliary body detachment did not respond to medical therapy with cycloplegic drops and steroid medications, then an intra-vitreous gas injection could rapidly resolve these complications.…”
