Abstract: Overview Transformation of normal cells results in activation and/or suppression of a number of hormonally active genes, resulting in ectopic humoral paraneoplastic syndromes. Treatment of cancer also results in a number of endocrine or metabolic abnormalities, most of which are related to hormone deficiency or drug‐related toxicity.
