“…Overall, the studies involved a total of 187 children with a pooled mean age of 11.7 years (95% CI, 10.2–13.2 years). The aetiology of pancreatitis was described in nine studies (137 children), and were idiopathic in 76 (55.5%), trauma in 32 (23.3%), biliary in 13 (9.5%), chronic pancreatitis in 5 (3.6%), pancreas divisum in 3 (2.2%), genetics in 3 (2.2%), and others in 5 (3.6%) children [ 15 16 17 20 21 22 23 24 27 ].
