Abstract: Endolumenal surgery is the forefront of minimally invasive surgery and is rapidly developing.• Colon and rectal surgeons should be involved in the progression of endolumenal surgery as it will offer benefit to patients. • New endolumenal techniques can be used to address large polyps that once required resection and treat malignant large bowel obstructions.
