Abstract:The multifarious anaesthetic challenges associated with tracheo-oesophageal fistula surgery are difficult tracheal intubation, continuous air leakage during positive pressure ventilation, gastric distension, sharing of the airway with surgeons, intraoperative desaturation due to surgical retractors and maintaining anesthetic depth.
