Abstract: Intracranial artery dissections (IADs), although uncommon, are an important cause of cerebral infarction and subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Some IADs can heal spontaneously after reconstitution of the vessel lumen with excellent prognosis. Meanwhile, others can progress to stroke that requires treatment.
