Energy analysis of wear sliding friction units

Abstract: This article deals with the calculation of friction and wear of working surfaces of sliding friction units on the basis of energy theory. Working surfaces have roughness, i.e., protrusions and depressions, which under the influence of load and as a result of slip undergo plastic deformation, as a result of which the roughness of contacting surfaces changes and differs from the initial one, which is called equilibrium roughness.
