Energy Efficiency of Eco-Friendly Home: Users’ Perception

Abstract: As the population in Indonesia grow, the use of energy in eco-friendly residences increases. Concerning this issue, the Green Building Council Indonesia provides standard criteria for greenhouses. Nevertheless, eco-friendly homes’ users are still not familiar with the application of these criteria. Therefore, this research aims to investigate the users’ perception of eco-friendly homes’ energy efficiency. The study was conducted in Surabaya and Malang, using a cross-sectional survey method by distributing ques… Show more

“…Responsibility in this area is created by energy-saving-oriented behaviour, as well as an orientation towards obtaining energy for one's own needs (the energy balance aspect in energy awareness models of energy users). This idea guides the acceleration of design and construction processes for small-scale energy producers and consumers (prosumers), who can actively participate in the production of energy for their own purposes and shape the level of energy use (energy management) and, as a result, take an active part in the transformation towards sustainable economies, as also signalled by M. Wijayaningtyas et al [58]. This manifests itself in the trend of combining solutions in the design of new or the extension or modernisation of existing energy installations, The driving force for the design and implementation of environmentally friendly energy solutions is growing environmental awareness, which is strongly emphasised in the world literature [56,57].…”

“…Falani (2013) asserts that the degree of membership plays a crucial part in determining whether or not elements exist in a set in fuzzy set theory [7]. The primary characteristic of fuzzy logic reasoning is membership value or degree of membership (membership function), as shown in Figure 1, which explains the concept of fuzzy logic [8].…”

“…Consequently, companies need to develop environmentally sound strategies and innovations in the pallet procurement unit to meet distribution needs. Knowledge and technology regarding the green approach will help companies to be aware of environmentally friendly manufacturing through assisting the organization in improving knowledge and technology capability ( Wijayaningtyas et al., 2019 , 2020 ; Putri et al., 2020 ; Hulukati et al., 2020 ; Handoko et al., 2014 , 2016 , 2017 , 2019 ; Hidayat et al., 2018 ). This research is a case study of pallet shortage in the pulp and paper industry in Indonesia.…”
