Energy Efficient Wireless Sensor Networks based on Clustering Techniques

Abstract: In WSNs, Energy is a scarcest resource of sensor nodes and it determines the lifetime of sensor nodes. These are battery powered sensor nodes. These small batteries have limited power and also may not easily rechargeable or removable. Long communication distance between sensors and a sink can greatly drain the energy of sensors and reduce the lifetime of a network. In WSNs, energy is a big factor to be considered. Various techniques are used to optimize energy level of sensor nodes of WSN. We will make a revie… Show more

“…On this basis, the topology-based invulnerability indexes come into being. These indexes apply network connectivity as the object, adjacency matrix as the source of feature extraction, graph theory and probability statistics as theoretical means to compute invulnerability more comprehensively [ 24 , 25 ]. For instance, Chvatalz introduced the graph toughness to assess the invulnerability performance of WSNs [ 26 ].…”

“…11 Various techniques for improving the energy efficiency of the network have been compared, and the clustering operation guarantees for the minimum power utilization. 12 Bicen et al 13 introduce the delay-sensitive data transport protocols in cognitive radio networks. It investigates the varied spectrum environment and provides a design in cognitive radio networks.…”
