“…In addition, it provides local service logic and remote services with high-level APIs for discovering, managing, and communicating with HAN devices. The protocol used for the communication between the HAN devices and the Home Gateway is based on ZigBee, since it is a low-cost, low-power-consumption, two-way, wireless communication standard [30].
