Energy levels and electromagnetic transition of 190–196Pt nuclei

Abstract: A description of the even–even Pt isotopes for A = 190 to 196 in the framework of the Interacting Boson Model (IBM-1) is carried out. Energy levels, B(E2) and B(M1) values, branching ratios, E2/M1 mixing ratios and QJ values of the above nuclei have been calculated. The energy levels, B(E2) values and the electric quadrupole moment QJ results are reasonably consistent with the experimental data. The magnetic dipole is compared with the available experimental data. Furthermore, the calculated results are better… Show more

“…In that case, one says that the Hamiltonian (H) has a dynamical symmetry. These symmetries are called U(5) vibrational, SU(3) rotational and O(6) γ-unstable (Casten & Warner, 1988, Kassim & Sharrad, 2014.…”

“…The IBM-1 of Arima and Iachello [20] has become widely accepted as a tractable theoretical scheme of correlating, describing, and predicting low-energy collective properties of complex nuclei. In the IBM, the spectroscopies of low-lying collective properties of even-even nuclei were described in terms of a system of interacting bosons ( = 0) and bosons ( = 2) [17,21]. In the original form of the model known as IBM-1, proton and neutron-boson degrees of freedom are not distinguished.…”

“…The study of these isotopes provides us with an insight into the effect that this might have on the transition from spherical to deformed isotopes [10]. Many experimental and theoretical studies on the structure of energy levels and electromagnetic transition properties of the even-even rare-earth isotopes had been investigated in [10][11][12][13][14][15].…”
