Energy Management of Grid Interconnected Multi-Microgrids Based on P2P Energy Exchange: A Data Driven Approach

Abstract: Grid interconnected multi-microgrids provides potential benefits to the consumers, where the microgrids (MGs) equipped with distributed generators (DGs), energy storage systems (ESSs), and diesel generators. However, intermittency of DGs, high cost of ESSs, and depleting fossil fuels are the major challenges for the economic operation of interconnected multi-microgrids. One potential way to address these challenges is to develop an energy management strategy (EMS) for the grid interconnected multi-microgrids. … Show more

“…Their trained models, however, are still sensitive to repeated assaults since they used a linear function to approximate the loss function, which resulted in high curvature around data points on the decision surface of the associated deep models. The formulation is illustrated as equation (11):…”

“…The demand resiliency advantages of microgrids have widely been studied in the literature, however, the analytical and empirical modeling of microgrids for resiliency targets based on BESS is limited. There have been a few significant works on dynamic energy management systems for autonomous microgrids [11], [12] for enhancing the resiliency can be found in the bibliography. Due to time-dependent solar irradiation fluctuations, a self-supporting intelligent microgrid is needed to continuously support the I-EMS.…”

“…Shen et al scheduled various DERs in a microgrid to maximize profit, considering the uncertainties in the system [12]. Thirugnanam et al [13] minimized the energy consumption cost using a peer-to-peer (P2P) approach. An EMS has also been used to minimize converter losses in battery systems [14].…”

“…Similarly, an optimizing method was proposed to build a P2P exchange energy contract between prosumers and consumers under various renewable penetration rates by taking renewable sources and demand uncertainty into consideration [13]. Such a contract for P2P energy trading [14] has been found between electric vehicle (EV) owners [15][16] [17], DG in microgrids (MGs) [18], and vehicle-togrids (V2Gs). The purpose of P2P trading is to maximize social welfare and fairness with other power network considerations.…”
