Energy-momentum tensor on the lattice: recent developments

Abstract: It is conceivable that the construction of the energy-momentum tensor (EMT) in lattice field theory enlarges our ability in lattice field theory and also deepens our understanding on EMT at the non-pertubative level. In this talk, I will review recent developments in this enterprise. 34th annual International Symposium on Lattice Field Theory

“…In addition to the linear function in t, we also use the linear function of [g(µ) 2 /(4π) 2 ] +1 , where = 1 for the NLO approximation and = 2 for the N 2 LO approximation. 9 This functional form is suggested from a detailed study of the asymptotic behavior of Eq. (3.1) for t → 0 (H. Suzuki and H. Takaura, manuscript in preparation).…”

“…If a candidate pseudodilaton σ is seen on the lattice for a small number N f of fermion triplets, it may be possible to determine F 2 σ from the σ-pole residue of a component of θ αβ (x)θ µν (0) vac . (We say "may," because explicit breaking of space-time symmetries by the lattice regulator makes θ αβ hard to study on the lattice [159].) Since lattice simulations are performed with massive techniquarks m ψ = 0, what is actually measured is the m ψ = 0 versionF σ of the decay constant [see Eq.…”

“…Regarding the renormalization of the EMT we must note that several interesting ideas, based on the Yang-Mills gradient flow [37], have been proposed [41][42][43] (see [44] for a review). Following some of these strategies promising results for the EoS have already been obtained, both in SU(3) Yang-Mills theory and QCD [45,46].…”
