Energy Transfer in the Thermally Annealed KCI: Pb2+, Mn2+ System

Abstract: The P b 2 + -+ M n Z + energy transfer mechanisms in the thermally annealed KCI: Pb2+, MnZ+ system are examined by means of optical absorption, emission, and time decay of the luminescence. Thermal annealing produces the PbZi Suzuki phase and the Mn2+ ions enter this phase by substituting for some P b Z + ions. The analysis of the time decay spectra shows that the transfer is a single pair mechanism; no migration of excitation energy is experimentally detected. Die Mechanismen des PbZ
