Abstract:The P b 2 + -+ M n Z + energy transfer mechanisms in the thermally annealed KCI: Pb2+, MnZ+ system are examined by means of optical absorption, emission, and time decay of the luminescence. Thermal annealing produces the PbZi Suzuki phase and the Mn2+ ions enter this phase by substituting for some P b Z + ions. The analysis of the time decay spectra shows that the transfer is a single pair mechanism; no migration of excitation energy is experimentally detected.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
