Enforcing ATP hydrolysis enhanced glycolysis and promoted solvent production under anaerobic conditions

Abstract: Background The intracellular ATP level, an indicator of cellular energy state, plays a critical role in regulating the intracellular metabolic activities. The classical ATP paradox that the glycolytic rate negatively correlates with the intracellular ATP level was well studied.
