Therefore, while we propose using the university as a unique laboratory to explore food systems opportunities, we also hypothesize that the effectiveness of solutions is determined by the degree to which they are co-produced; the stronger the degree of collaborative student/faculty research, the greater the likelihood of finding solutions that will disperse beyond the academy (Amparo et al, 2022).
