Abstract:The extended cultivation with metabolite extraction and the cyclic cultivation of bacterial nanocellulose (BNC) have, for the first time, been examined herein. The biosynthesis of BNC has been scaled up in a 440-L vessel, which is currently the largest scale-up in the world practice.
