Abstract:This study explores the bioconversion of diosgenin by Yarrowia lipolytica P01a, focusing on enhancing the antioxidant, antifungal, and herbicidal activities of the resulting extracts. The bioconversion process, involving glycosylation and hydroxylation, produced significant amounts of protodioscin and soyasaponin I.
