However, only a few studies reported the fungal communities in coal seams related to methane production. , Some facultative anaerobic fungi were found in produced water of Qinshui Basin with the potential to degrade plant-derived, aromatic and lignin-like compounds in coal, including Rhodotorula spp., Mortierella spp., Acremonium spp., Fusarium spp., Trichoderma spp., Aspergillus spp., and Schizophyllum spp . In the anaerobic reactor with an electric field, fungi such as Thielavia , Humicola , Mortierella , Trichoderma , Acremonium , and Alternaria were detected, which were related to the degradation of anthracite .…”
